the verdict

Edwina is winning on format, not content.

Her formula: news article screenshot + her face on camera + bold white-on-black contrarian text overlay + numbered save-bait caption. Repeatable. Daily. That is the engine.

Her audience is largely passive — drawn in by viral algorithmic reels rather than committed parasocial fans. That is good news if you want to compete: the format is the moat, not the audience.

content pillar mix

What she actually posts.

Identity posts underperform her tactical content even with 239K followers. The asymmetry is striking.

the hook formula

The white-on-black overlays that stop scrolls.

Every recent reel uses one of these patterns. The recipe: start with a number or absolute statement, set up tension, make the viewer need the next sentence to know if they're at risk.

# Pattern 1 — counter a viral creator "She told 9 million women to do this. Don't." # Pattern 2 — data shock from news "90% FAILURE RATE" # Pattern 3 — legal / regulatory framing "IT IS NOW LEGAL" # Pattern 4 — anchor a dry headline as drama "The case the AI industry is watching"
steal this

What you should copy today.

1
News + face + bold text overlay
Use real article screenshots as backdrop. Talking head as foreground. Single bold contrarian line as overlay.
2
Save-bait captions, never essays
Numbered steps. Cross-platform specificity. Tactical rules over storytelling.
3
Audience-jacking via reaction
When a bigger creator posts about your topic, react with an expert add. You ride their algorithmic wake.
4
Cross-platform specificity
Always name the actual tools and menu paths. Breadth signals expertise. Specifics make it saveable.
avoid this

What not to copy.

1
Identity posts before authority
Her Forbes carousel got 0.68% engagement. Origin stories underperform until you have an audience to tell them to.
2
Workshop promos without product
She has 239K to sell to. If you don't have an offer + audience yet, promo content torches the followers you have.
3
Copying the bio tagline verbatim
"I turn AI into your most profitable employee" is hers. Find positioning anchored in your specific edge.

faq

Honest answers.

Is it really free for the first audit?
Yes. Sign up with an email, run one full audit on any public Instagram profile, no card required. After that, you pay $10 per audit or go Pro for unlimited.
Where does the data come from?
We pull only what's publicly visible on the creator's profile — bio, recent posts, captions, engagement counts. We never touch private accounts and we don't store profile data after the audit runs.
Which AI runs the audit?
Claude Sonnet 4.5 from Anthropic. The audit prompt is 200+ lines, tuned to extract specific patterns rather than write generic summaries. Each audit costs us roughly 10¢ in API time, which is why pay-per-audit is $10 — most of that margin funds the scraping infrastructure.
Can I audit creators on TikTok or YouTube?
Instagram is live now. TikTok, YouTube, and X are all on the roadmap for this quarter. Pro subscribers get early access to each as it ships.
What's in the comparison view?
Pro lets you audit two creators in parallel and see them side-by-side: posting cadence, engagement, format mix, hook patterns, identity-vs-tactical content split. Useful when you're studying a competitor against a role model.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes, any time. Stripe handles the billing — there's a one-click cancel link in every receipt and in your dashboard. No "talk to sales" calls.
Is this legal?
We pull only public data the creator has chosen to share with the world. No login bypassing, no private DMs, no follower lists. The same legal footing as every public-facing analytics tool. We have a clear data-handling policy in our terms.
